The American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine selected Dr. Donna Matthews Jarrell for the 2025 Nathan R. Brewer Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions in veterinary medicine as a Diplomate. It celebrates her cumulative achievements in research, teaching and service, all of which has had a major impact on the advancement of the specialty of laboratory animal medicine. Dr. Jarrell is the first woman and first veterinarian of color to be selected for this prestigious award.
